Saint Johns Tennis Academy Stringing
We offer an extensive range of string types and competitive prices on strings. We don’t recommend Polyester strings for beginner or intermediate players because such strings demand full swings and high racket speed which compensate for the lack of power provided by the string. Advanced players will typically use a blend with Poly strings in the mains and a synthetic or natural gut in the cross. Players with elbow, wrist or shoulder problems should always go to a more comfortable multifilament string such as Wilson Sensation or go to natural gut strings.

Head Hawk Power
Great for control, comfort, touch and spin. This is a versatile Poly offering great control on full swings but remains responsive on slower strokes and touch shots.
Head Hawk
This Poly offers spin, control and durability. It is a stiff Poly, too underpowered for beginners but gives the big hitters the needed control to attack the ball.
Head Lynx Tour
Offers control, spin, feel and tension maintenance. Another user friendly and versatile Poly. Again not so powerful and designed for big swinging Poly players who demand total control over the ball on full swings.
Head Reflex MLT - This multifilament offers comfort, power, playability and durability.
Head Synthetic Gut - Spin friendly and durable this string offers great all around performance. It works very well acting as a hybrid with a Poly blend.
Luxilon Alu Power Spin - This famous Poly offers great spin and control, however, it is too firm and underpowered for beginners. It really helps keep the biggest shots between the lines. It doesn’t feel dead on shorter strokes and volleys (unlike many of the stiffer traditional Polys). It offers great spin potential, enabling explosive topspin and aggressive targeting with control built in.
Wilson Sensation - A top quality multifilament, good for any style of player, a soft, comfortable string. It is very arm friendly offering good power and spin.
